Back to N'Gor island where many Westerners were gearing up for Christmas and New Years parties while most local people seemed to be doing thier all-same-same-same daily grind (Senegal is predominantly a Muslim country).

I wasn't in any mood to celebrate either Christmas or New Year's Eve (or my birthday) due to my injury and the fact that I don't normally go partying around this time of the year regardless.
Nevertheless, Jesper prepared great food for his guests (including me, of course) for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

The photos below were taken on New Year's Eve on the beach.
Lots of lots of food to be had followed by a dance-show performed by young Senegalese guys and girls.

Year 2011 was very significant not only for me, but also for many Japanese people.
There is still a lot to be done and improved in Japan after the Tsunami and nuclear disaster in Fukushima.
Year 2012 has to be a better year for every single one of us.
